“Regarding the commercial property for sale in Shoreline at 158th and 27th Avenue NE. Many, many neighbors enjoyed the cafe that previously rented that building. About a dozen of us have agreed to work towards a good cafe with fair trade coffee and healthy, fabulous lunches (maybe even dinners) in a family friendly setting. I work a lot in MInneapolis and spaces like this building, in the middle of residential neighborhoods, are used for marvelous cafes that create a wonderful neighborhood atmosphere…..We want something that brings the community together. We need this and we will support it. Anyone who wants to create a cafe there will be overwhelmed with business. Please encourage anyone with this kind of business plan in mind to be encouraged to move here. Please encourage them to purchase the building.

We are putting notices in the Briarcrest newsletter and searching for a chef who would like to own a cafe there. I will keep your number handy should we find someone. Please guide a business to this neighborhood that we both need and want. Thank you”
